On October 27, Puerto Rican organizations will be joined by social movement forces in the U.S. and from around the world to put the U.S. on trial for 120 years of colonial crimes in Puerto Rico. The people's tribunal will be convened in the long history of similar tribunals that have exposed the role of the U.S. and its allies in countless atrocities across the globe.

The tribunal will present a people’s investigation of the role of the US government during its 120-year colonial rule, and particularly since the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria and the U.S. imposed junta fiscal control board. We will be joined by renowned Nicaraguan legal scholar and attorney Dr. Augusto Zamora, who will serve as prosecutor, and a distinguished jury of US and international human rights leaders.
